Apart of producing some of the finest rose wines anyone can find in Provence, Commanderie de Peyrassol is followed by a long and important history like very few others in France. The vineyards lay in an altitude between 220 m to 350 m above sea level in a land of 900 hectares. Thirteen different varieties are planted in Peyrassol. Reg grape varieties such as Cinsault, Grenache, Tibouren, Mourverde, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon and white grape varieties such as Semillon and Ugni-blanc.
Although the estate produces red and white wines, the stars of the Chateau are its rose wines. The grapes are 100% own production, mainly from old vines, and the end result offers own of the best expressions of the terroir of Provence.
